Established in 1979 originally based in Essex, through growth and progression moved to Basildon in 1997 to a modern freehold premises, employing in excess of 35 people operating multi-shift capacity, supplying major customers within the Aerospace and Defence sectors.
Managing Director Allen Knife, undertook a Management buyout in 2014 ensuring continued growth and success, allowing GKM to redefine strategic business objectives, rebrand, and streamline in-house processes. Significant reinvestment back into the company has seen over £2m of improvements ensuring continual development since 2015.
GKM operates a Match-IT production, planning, and stock control system; managing the entire supply chain from initial enquiry to delivery.
Match-IT is a sophisticated finite capacity planning system that creates achievable work schedules with regard to our capacity, loading, min/max batch size constraints, supplier lead times, and much more. This enables GKM to promise delivery dates to our customers and have complete confidence in achieving them.
This is also an integrated quality assurance system which means we can control permissions and our quality procedures are always followed. Full audit history is kept ensuring complete transparency identifying who did what and when. Resulting in adherence to procedures for quality auditors and customers. G.K.M has the capability to manufacture from traditional engineering drawings and models to finished components with full Quality Control, for the Aerospace, Defence, Auto, and any other industries where a high level of precision and accuracy is required using a wide range of materials including Aluminum, Steel, Invar, Castings, and Titanium.

GKM manufactures, assembles, and supplies a wide range of the world's leading Aerospace businesses. Our team produces numerous parts from one-off ‘specials’ to contracted production items on an ongoing basis.
Marine
From luxury yachts to passenger ferries GKM have manufactured and supplied components to many of the leading names within the Marine sector, we ensure all material and process stand up to extreme marine conditions.
Defence

Healthcare
With the aid of our in-house CAD/CAM processing facility, GKM ensures fast and precise results. Manufacturing new and smaller complex components, assisting in R&D trials to production, we ensure the reliability of your components are never a concern.
